…happens for a reason”, said N. to C. when he told us he didn’t get his visa situation sorted out. I personally don’t think that everything happens for a reason. People just say that to comfort people when they’re down I guess. But there are mistakes, accidents, bad encounters with mean people, wrong decisions, fights, separations, failures, that are part of life and it looks like we have to deal with all that even if it does not make any sense. Time will tell what were “the reasons” maybe…

And what about when nothing ever happens?  Can we say that nothing ever happens for a reason ?
